Review: Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster
$30 (lasts about 3 mos.)

I love beauty product innovations and the appreciate all the effort that goes into taking a great idea and bringing into market.  The very first company to create a self tanning product was Coppertone, with the introduction of "QT" for Quick Tan back in the 60's.

Problem was, the tan was more of a butternut squash hue, permanently staining a generation of sunless tanners would be's, with a fear of  a tans in a can.

My first self tanning experience was with Clarins Self Tanning Milk with SPF 6. It did not have a harsh chemical smell and it left me golden. I used it for years and I'm not quite sure why I stopped...perhaps it was when the cheap and cheerful mass products like Jergens Natural Glow were introduced.

Clarins newest launch, Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster should prove to be a game changer--and will definitely be imitated.  I immediately went to Sephora to sample it, but they were eagerly awaiting it's arrival as well.
I went back to Sephora this week and had the pleasure of meeting Arkit, who was visting from Clarins.  Sadly, Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster had already come and gone, but Arkit sweetly offered to create a sample for me from the nearly empty tester.

Arkit explained that it was simple to use: he suggested adding 3 drops to my morning moisturizer, rubbing it between both palms and apply evenly to my face, ears and neck; front and back.

I did exactly that, except I applied it at night, when I usually use my Kate Sommerville 360 Tanning Towelettes.  I did wake up to a light golden glow, but I did think my skin looked a bit dry.  I had enough for 3 days and used it all.

It has a very faint scent, unlike many other self tanners and I think people will embrace the idea of mixing it with their chosen moisturizer.

I'm not completely sold, but I think out of sheer novelty it will be a sold out bestseller for awhile.  Does it appeal to you?  If you do try Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster will you kindly let me know how you liked it?

Here's to Coppertone, Clarin's and all the other companies who do their best to make us look beautiful...they deserve the spoils...

xox,
DD
